My Secret Place

This was written by one that comes into the chatrooms on the network where we chat.

Walking alone, holding back tears
Praying to Jesus to rid all my fear,
Knowing that prayers will help me feel better
I sat under a tree to write this letter
Oh thank you Lord Jesus for all that you do,
Bringing me hope and loving me too.
The prayers you have answered the sins you forgave,
The wonderful love you show me each day
Thank you for the gifts you gave in my life,
The gift of my parents you chose them just right
I thank you for this tree that shades me this way
For I will return here and write you each day
My prayers I will keep here buried you see
Then I will return to read your answers to me
As I gathered my things to go back inside
I took a look back then I cried.
The tears were not sad the sadness was gone
The joy in my heart was just so very strong
To know that a place that now i hold dear
Will always be there to take away my fears
Oh thank you Lord Jesus for the shade you gave me
Under that oak tree you provided for free
As i wrote down my prayers you answered in time
I will always know that tree was just yours and mine.
